Botanic information
Leaf: The oval basal leaves have 3 to 5 broad lobes that are serrated or lobed and are pubescent. The stems are smaller and are less divided. All the leaves are strongly aromatic when crushed.
Flower: The flower-heads are composed of yellow disc-florets and white ray-florets. They are arranged in a corymb that appears during midsummer.
Fruit: The small cypsela is not commonly seen. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively in order to maintain true to type.
