Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º C. The seeds may be difficult to germinate.

Take soft tip of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.

Botanic information
Leaf: The leaf shape varies from lanceolate to elliptical and has slightly recurved margins. The upper surface is shiny with a prominent mid rib and the underside is dull green.

Flower: The tubulate flowers have 4-spreading lobes with 2-protruding stamens and are pubescent at the base of the perianth segments. They are arranged in a terminal globular head with up to 45 flowers and is up to 60mm (2?in)wide. They appear during spring.Though its main flowering period is in spring the flowers may be seen throughout the year.

Fruit: The small one seeded capsule has a membranous outer layer. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
