Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained medium and keep moist.

Divide established clumps during spring.

Botanic information
Leaf: The blue-green leaves are lanceolate in outline and the serrated leaf segments are pubescent. The leaves become lax with age.

Flower: The orange-red cyathiform flower has 4 to 6-overlapping petals that have a blue-black mark on each towards the base and has no bracts. The flowers are held erect on a slender pubescent scape and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The pepper-pot shaped capsule is small and contains many seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
