Leaf: The dark green linear leaves have a short petiole and a mucronate apex. They are arranged densely along the stems and are aromatic when crushed..

Flower: The tiny radiate flower-heads have white to pink bracts and up to 20 are arranged in a terminal cluster that is up to 70mm (2? in)wide. They appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small seed is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
