Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during early spring and pre-soak in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. The seeds may require scarification.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark glossy green elliptical leaves are narrow towards the base and the apex is obtuse. The underside of the leaf is dull green and the petiole is up to 30mm (1¥in)long.
Flower: The small 6-pettled salverform flowers are arranged in a dense cluster towards the end of the branches and fall from the plant soon after appearing in summer.
Fruit: The slightly flattened ovoid berry is sessile and tapers to a rounded apex.
