Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media and prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Take cuttings during late summer and placed on a misting bench.


Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green leaves are narrow elliptical and have recurved margins. The petiole is short and the apex is acute.

Flower: The small cyathiform flowers have long exserted brilliant red to apricot stamens. The flowers are arranged in bundles of 35 to 70 in a terminal spike that appears during spring.

Fruit: The capsule is urn shape and woody and contins numerious fine seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
