Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.
Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green trifoliate leaves have 3-orbicular to broad obovate leaflets are up to 30mm (1in) long and 20mm (? in) wide.
Flower: The papillionate flower have an obovate standard petal and long keel that is scarlet with a brownish centre. They are arranged in an axillary raceme or are solitary and appear from spring to summer.
Fruit: The cylindrical pod slightly constricted between the seeds and is covered in a fine pubescence.
