Propagation
Sow fresh seed during winter and maintain a temperature of 18ş to 21ş C. (64ş to 75ş F). Protect seedlings from late frosts.


Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green leaves are broad linear to long oblong with a smooth texture and the leaf base clasps the stem.

Flower: The flower colour varies from white to red and the disk florets are black to yellow with the fertile tubular flowers found on the outer part of the disc. The flowers appear during spring above the foliage on a slender scape.

Fruit: The seed is covered in silky white hairs (villous).
