Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water for 24 hours. The seeds may require scarification.


Botanic information
Leaf: The lanceplate leaves taper towards the base and the margin may have several large serrations towards the apex. It has a thick smooth appearance with a prominent mid vein and is up to 30 mm (1? in) wide.

Flower: The small tubulate white flowers are arranged in a dense axillary rounded raceme that appears from late winter to early spring.

Fruit: The woody follicle is spotted and has 2-short horns and contains hard coated winged seeds.

General pruning information
These plants tolerate a light prune to a node normally after flowering. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate and if the plant has become leggy and woody it will not regenerate after a hard prune. It requires replacement.
