Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification.

Take soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn. Graft onto rootstock during late summer or during winter under glass.

Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile leaves vary from linear to broad elliptical and are grey to dark green and the dull green underside is pubescent and with a prominentmid-vein. The apex is obtuse to mucronate and the margins may be recurved.

Flower: The small tubulate flowers are on pedicles up to 9mm (?in) long and the tomentose perianth segments are oblong with the villous white style up to 20mm (µin) long. They are arranged in dense terminal oraxillary racemes that is up to 35mm (1?in) long and appears from spring to summer.

Fruit: The ovoid follicle is up to 6mm (¥in) wide with a thin pubescent pericarp. The elliptical seeds to 8mm (?in) long with recurved margins that have a waxy border.
The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively or grafted.
The small leathery fruit is brittle when dry and normally contains two winged seeds.
