Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green adult leaves are broad lanceolate with a leathery texture and have a petiole up to 25mm (1in) long.

Flower: The buds have a short pedicle and the operculum is rounded with a long beak. There is an obvious bud scar on the twigs and the cream coloured flowers are arranged in a cyme towards the ends of the branches during spring.

Fruit: The woody capsule has a disk that is level with the rim and the 5-valves are slightly exserted.

General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.
