Propagation
Divide offsets during spring to summer.

Take stem or leaf cuttings during spring.

Sow seed as soon as ripe in a very well-drained media.


Botanic information
Leaf: The obovate leaves have an acuminate apex with reddish margins and have a thick fleshy texture. The variation glauca has finer leaves.

Flower: The campanulate flowers have a thick reddish sepals and petals that are red to pink on the out side and yellow on the in side. They are arranged in a one-sided cyme that is held above the foliage on a scape that is up to 300mm (1ft) long and appear from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small follicle appears in clusters and produces many tiny seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
