Propagation
Sow seed when ripe and maintain a temperature of 16ºC (61ºF).

Take leaf cuttings during summer and take care not to over water.

Divide offsets during spring.

Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are lanceolate to spathulate with a bristly acute apex and reddish margin. The texture is thick, fleshy and the leaves tend to turn upwards.

Flower: The urceolate flower colour varies from red with a yellow tip to yellow with a red tip. They are arranged in a one sided cyme on a scape that is up to 300mm (12in) long and appear from spring to summer.

Fruit: The small follicle appears in clusters and produces many tiny seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
