Propagation
Sow seed during spring in a well-drained media.
Take semi hardwood cuttings from summer to autumn.

This plant re-shoots and seeds germinate after low intensity fire.

Botanic information
Leaf: The obovate leaves have margins that are undulate and slightly lobed with sharp pointed teeth that are widely spaced. The stiff textured dark green leaves are whitish on the underside.

Flower: The small tubulate flowers are arranged in a large flower head that has an involucre of scale-like bracts. They appear above the foliage during winter.

Fruit: The small capsule is vertically orientated and pubescent. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.

Note
The genusDryandrais endemic to Western Australia and it is difficult to grow in other states which havePhytophthora cinnamomia root rot fungus. Grafting of some species has been marginally successful for eastern states of Australia.
