Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring and prick out when large enough to handle. Maintain a warm humid environment for germination.

This plant is resistantto Phytophthora cinnamomi.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are reduced to 9 to 16 triangular scales that are arranged in whorls around the nodes along the cladode. The dark green branchlets become blue-grey in the cooler months.
Flower: The brown male flowers appear in a short spike towards the end of the branches and the female flowers may appear on a different tree during early spring.
Fruit: The woody ovoid (barrel shaped) and cone-like fruit is up to 12 mm (½in) wide and contains numerous capsules. The angular valves are exserted giving it a rough texture.
