Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).
Take cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.
Note:
If plant parts are ingested it may cause stomach upset.
Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green leaves are ovate to lanceolate and has a smooth texture on the upper surface and prominent venation on the undersides.
Flower: The tubulate flowers are shallow trumpet-shaped and arranged in groups of 2 to 5 in an axillary cluster that appears during midsummer. The colour is violet-blue to pale-blue with yellowish centre.
Fruit: The heart-shaped to ovoid berry is pendulous and contains several seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
