Botanic information
Leaf: The silver-grey pinnate leaves have 4 to 10 pairs of narrow linear leaflets that are about 40mm (1 1/2in) long and up to 5mm (1/4in) wide. The leaflets are covered in minute hairs that give a downy appearance and between the lowest there is a gland.
Flower: The yellow cyathiform flowers have 5-overlapping petals and are arranged in small axillary racemes. The flowers may bloom intermittently throughout the year.
Fruit: The flattened long pods are a varnished rich brown colour and the 2 to 8 seeds are hard coated. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
