Propagation
Sow fresh seed in spring in pots and in cold climates place in a cold frame.
Divide established clumps (rhizome) during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are lanceolate to broad linear and is channelled with a slightly concave upper surface. The texture is leathery and the apex acuminate and the base sheathed.
Flower: The small nodding white stellate flowers are composed of 6 spreading tepals and are arranged in an open lax terminal panicle that is held above the foliage on a tall scape during spring. The stamens are white and may have purple to yellow flecks on the white tepals.
Fruit: The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
