Botanic information
Leaf: The tiny silver-green thick scale-like linear leaves are appressed along the stems that grow at all angles giving the plant a leafless appearance.

Flower: The tiny bisexual radiate flowers are arranged in dense globose head that is up to 12mm (½in) wide and is arranged terminally appearing during summer.

Fruit: The small compressed fruit has a pappus of united bristles and the small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
