Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Botanic information

Leaf: The petiolate leaves are narrow lanceolate and are blue-green to bright glossy green with an acuminate apex.

Flower: The ovate to cylindrical red-brown buds open to cream flowers and are arranged in an umbel of 4 to 12 appearing during midsummer. The persistent style splits and remains attached to the valves of the fruit.

Fruit: The woody capsule is subgobular, brittle with a descending disk with the valves exserted. The grey-brown tiny seeds are ellipsoid shape.

General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.
