Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Divide established clumps (rhizome) during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The arching leaves are linear to narrow lanceolate with a stiff texture and up to 15mm (3/4 in) wide. The margin has minute teeth and the apex is acute with parallel venation on the upper surface.
Flower: The stellate flowers have 6 lavender-blue petals and yellow anthers. They are arranged in a terminal panicle that is on slender scape up to 1.5m (4 ft) tall and appear during spring.
Fruit: The attractive berry is oblong to ovoid and is persistent on the plant. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
