Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).


Botanic information
Leaf: The reduced scale leaves are arranged in whorls of 5 to 6 teeth around at the joints on the branchlets.

Flower: The light brown male flower is a catkin-like spike that is up to 15mm (?in) long and erecttowards the end of upright stems. The female flower has no perianth segments and consists of 2-fused carpels. They appear during spring.

Fruit: The oblong woody textured cone-like fruit contains numerous capsules and has no stalk.
