Propagation
Takes tip cuttings taken from spring to summer and semi hardwood cuttings in late summer. Apply bottom heat to encourage root growth.

Culture
This plant tolerates a tip prune to bushy up or cut back hard during winter to rejuvenate.

Note:
If ingested it may cause stomach upset and contact with the milky sap may cause skin irritation.

Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile leaves are ovate to elliptical and are mildly pubescent and up to 50 mm (2 in) wide. The texture is leathery and leaves are arranged decussate along the reddish brown stems.

Flower: The flower shape is funnelform to salverform with 5-broad spreading petals. The colour is variable with natural forms purplish to rose pink and may have a yellow throat. They are arranged in an axillary raceme towards the end of the branchlets and appear during summer.

Fruit: The small cylindrical follicle contains numerous viable seeds that have tufted hairs. The small seeds are not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
