Propagation
Remove offsets during the dormant period.
Plant tubers during spring and cover with 20cm (1in) of soil.
Botanic information
Leaf: The mid-green leaves are lanceolate to linear and is semi-erect tending to fold over. The leaves on the flowering stem are clasping and becoming smaller up the stem.
Flower: The tubulate flowers have a strong fragrance and the petals are waxy. They appear in a loose spike that is held erect on a scape that is up to 1m (3 ft) tall. The double flowering form is the more commonly cultivated plant.
Fruit: The small berry is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
