Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green palmate leaves have lanceolate leaflets with serrated or entire margins. When the leaf is crushed it gives off an unpleasant smell.

Flower: The campanulate flower is composed of 5 petal-like sepals and inconspicuous petals with a prominent cluster of stamens in the centre. The green flowers are blotched or margined in purple and arranged in a cyme that appears from winter to spring.

Fruit: The small follicle contains tiny seeds that may not germinate true to type. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
