Propagation
Sow fresh seed after storing in a dark place for 3-6 months in containers during spring.

Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer and place on a misting bench. Take care when transplanting as the roots of very fine and can be damaged easily.


Botanic information
Leaf: The small sessile linear leaves have a stiff leathery texture and tape it to a long acuminate apex. They are arranged densely along the reddish stems.

Flower: The pink to white tubulate flowers consist of a long tube with spreading lobes and a short pedestal. They are arranged on the underside of the branches in the leaf axils appearing profusely from winter to early summer.

Fruit: The small capsule is loculicidally dehiscent and contains numerous seeds, which are dispersed by water and gravity. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
