Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots from late spring to summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The almost sessile leaves vary from elliptical to ovate or broad lanceolate with an acute apex and prominentvenation on the upper surface. Both the stems and leaves are covered in fine hairs.
Flower: The salverform flowers have 5-spreading petals that are pink, magenta, blue or lilac and are pubescent in the throat. They are arranged in an axillary domed corymb that appears during summer.
Fruit: The small seed is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
