Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F). After germinating it takes 15 weeks to flower and should be planted out 250 mm (9µ in) apart.


Botanic information
Leaf: The soft textured leaaves are narrow-ovate up to 30 mm (1? in) wide and the margin is serrate to entire. It has a short petiole and an acute apex.

Flower: The tubular to funnelform flowers are flared with 2-lips, the upper is lobed and the lower lip is deep lavender-blue with the throat sometimes marked yellow.They appear in a raceme during summer.

Fruit: The fruit is a 2-locular capsule and the seed heads are normally removed during cultivation to prolong the flowering period.
