Propagation
Sow fresh seed in a well drained media that is kept moist during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F)

Divide established clumps during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green long lanceolate leaves tend to be broadest in the middle and are covered in fine backward facing hairs. The upper surface has a corrugated texture and the acuminate apex tends to fold downwards.

Flower: The terminal spike-like panicle is composed of brownish spikelets that appear from mid to late summer..

Fruit: The very small viable seeds are not commonly seen but the plant self-seeds easily and may become a weed in the garden. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
