Propagation
Take cuttings during spring and placed on a misting bench with bottom heat.
Divide established clumps during spring.
Culture
This plant suffers if the air is too dry or if there is too much light causing the leaves shrivelling. Wilting, yellowing leaves are normally a result of over-watering. It prefers temperatures above 15ºC (59ºF).
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are oval to elliptical and the upper surface is covered in a network of white veins. The leaves are softly textured and the petiole is short.
Flower: The small tubulate flowers are arranged in a terminal spike that appears amongst the foliage during summer.
Fruit: The capsule opens with two valves and produces flat seeds. The small seed is not commonly seen and normally the plant is reproduced vegetatively.
