Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

Divide existing clumps (rhizome) during spring.
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.


Botanic information
Leaf: The soft textured mid-green ovate leaves have a cordate base and may be mottled in silver, white or pink.

Flower: The red to white labiate flowers are upright and are arranged solitary in whorls around the stem in a spike-like inflorescence. They appear during summer.

Fruit: The small nut is not commonly seen and normally the plant is reproduced vegetatively.
