Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.
Botanic information
Leaf: The narrow glossy dark green lanceolate leaves have a smooth texture with fine veins and are dull green on the underside.
Flower: The short pointed spherical buds are 4mm (¥in)long and the 3 to 11 flowers are arranged in a axillary cluster with a short peduncle appearing during summer.
Fruit: The small capsule is conical shape with a whitish skin over the disk.
General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.
