Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a gritty well-drained soil.

Take cuttings during summer apply bottom heat.
Propagation of this species may be difficult.


Botanic information
Leaf: The narrow bright green linear leaves are grooved on the underside and are crowded along the branches.

Flower: The small apetalous flowers have 4-petal-like sepals that are recurved. The solitary flowers appear profusely in the upper leaf axils in a spike-like appearance during summer.

Fruit: The grape-like drupe appears in bunch weighing down the branches and is green then turning purple. The seeds are spread by birds or dispersed by gravity. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
