Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 19º to 27º C. (66º to 81º F).
Botanic information
Leaf: The stiff terete acicular leaves are covered in hairs (hirsute) and have a pointed apex.
Flower: The small creamy-white tubulate flowers are arranged in an axillary cluster that has a short peduncle and appear during winter.
Fruit: The woody follicle splits into two solid valves containing 2 seeds that are winged.
General pruning information
These plants tolerate a light prune to a node normally after flowering. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate and if the plant has become leggy and woody it will not regenerate after a hard prune. It requires replacement.
