Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C.

Take cuttings during summer and placed on a misting bench.

Note:
Care should be taken when planting as the roots are vigorous and can block drains or lift pathways.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy green lanceolate leaves have a silky underside with a reddish petiole and are up to 50 mm (2in) wide. The mid-rib is yellowish and the leaves tend to have a twisted appearance.

Flower: The small yellow rotate flowers have 5-protruding stamens and 5-petals that are nectar rich. There are up to 12-flowers arranged in an axillary cyme that appears from spring to early summer.

Fruit: The woody three celled capsule protrudes from the floral tube and is distinctly domed. The seeds are dispersed by water and gravity. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
