Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green trifoliate leaves have obovate to oblanceolate leaflets that are up to 10 mm (? in)wide with a 2-4 mm (?in)long petiole and the surfaces tend to be pubescent.

Flower: There are 3 to 9 yellow papillionate flowers arranged in a terminal raceme with a short peduncle. They appear from spring to summer.

Fruit: The dehiscent pods are hairy containing 6 to 7 black seeds and are dispersed by ants or soil disturbance. They have a long viability period, 20 to 30 years and germinate during spring or autumn.
