Botanic information
Leaf: The oblong leaves have a truncate base with a glaucous upper surface and whitish underside and are up to 50mm (2in) wide. They have a short petiole with 1 to 5 glands at the base and the margins are undulating.

Flower: The creamy-white campanulate flowers have spreading lobes and appear on a short pedicle. They are arranged in a cyme that appears from late spring to summer. The sticky mass of pollen temporally traps visiting moths hence the common name.

Fruit: The pear-shaped choko-like follicle contains many seeds that have pappus hairs and are dispersed by wind or in garden rubbish dumping.
