Propagation
This plant is not normally cultivated for ornamental purposes in Australia.
Sow seed during spring in a well-drained media.
Note:
As a weed it is controlled by physical removal of the plant and the taproot or by cutting the stump then painting on 1% glyphosate.
The taproot snaps off easily then re-shoots.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glabrous leaves are linear to lanceolate and are dark green to light green. The margins are normally serrated and the leaves are arranged radical to alternate.
Flower: The white to pink flower-heads are arranged in a corymb or panicle with an involucre that is globular or hemispherical. They appear throughout summer.
Fruit: The seeds have a pappus of fine hairs and are dispersed by wind.
