Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are narrow-oblong to narrow elliptical and arranged opposite to whorled. The undulating margins are finely toothed and the new foliage is a bronze colour.

Flower: The yellow crateriform flowers have 5-petals that are shed early and 5-persistant sepals that turn red. It has numerous stamens and the ovary is superior. The flowers appear during spring.

Fruit: The four to five green to red-black berry-like fruits are surrounded by 5-reflex sepals and appear in pendent clusters. The seeds germinate in moist shaded undisturbed areas and are dispersed by birds and gravity.
