Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in situ or in containers and in cold climates place in a cold frame to germinate.

Note:
If plant parts are ingested they may cause stomach upset and contact with the foliage can cause skin irritation.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green basal leaves are lanceolate to ovate and may be pubescent. The smaller stem leaves are arranged alternately and have an acute apex and a short petiole.

Flower: The tubulate to campanulate flowers may form 2-lips and be spotted on the inside. They are available in purple, pink and white and are arranged in a tall spike that is held above the foliage during summer.

Fruit: The small 2-locular capsule contains numerous tiny viable seeds.
