Botanic information
Leaf: The grey-green ovate leaves are paler underneath and have a strong odour when crushed. The venation is reticulate with a prominent mid rib and the leaves are broad growing up to 150mm (6in) wide and are covered in stellate hairs.

Flower: The rotate flowers are violet-white with yellow stamens and are arranged in a dense pedunculated cyme that appears from spring to summer.

Fruit: The succulent dull yellow berries produce flattened seeds that remain viable in the soil for many years. They are dispersed by birds, bats and possums and require light for germination.
