Propagation
Divide corms during autumn and replant immediately.

Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green long lanceolate leaves are up to 45mm (1µin)wide with a prominent mid rib and grow from the base.

Flower: The orange-red tubulate flowers have spreading tepals and are arranged in a long unbranched spike. They open in succession during early summer.

Fruit: Normally no seed is set but bulbils are produced in clusters of 4 to 12 on the lower part of the spike. These are dispersed by gravity or water.
