This plant is not normally cultivated for ornamental purposes.
Sow seed during spring in most well-drained soils.
Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green ovate leaves are sessile with a shinny upper surface and a pubescent underside.
Flower: The small red or blue flowers are crateriform to cyathiform with 5-petalled and have a filiform pedicle that is longer than the leaves and appear during summer.
Fruit: The small capsule contains numerous tiny seeds.
