Botanic information
Leaf: The long linear mid-green leaves are fleshy with a smooth waxy texture.
Flower: The pink striped to pinkish-white funnelform flowers have 6-perianth segments and 6-stamens. They are arranged in a cymose umbel that is held above the foliage on a long cylindrical scape and appear from spring to autumn.
Fruit: The small capsule contains numerous small black seeds that are very viable. This plant self-seeds freely and may be invasive. It is also reproduced by bulbils which makes it difficult to eradicate.
