Propagation
This plant is not normally cultivated for ornamental purposes.
Sow fresh seeds during mid spring in a well-drained media.

Note:
As a weed it is controlled by removal of the plant and fleshy taproot, which can shoot new growth if not removed completely. It can also be controlled with a application of glyphosate.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green lanceolate leaves are covered with tough, short white hairs (scabrous). The margins are variably lobed and the leaves are arranged in a basal rosette.

Flower: The bright yellow radiate flowers appear on a branched scape up to a hight of 500mm (20in) and appear from spring to autumn.

Fruit: The small seeds have pappus-hairs are 8 to 10 mm long and are arranged in a spherical head and are dispersed by wind.
