Propagation
Divide established clumps (rhizome) during spring.
Remove plantlets throughout the year and a pot up into an organic rich moist soil.
Note:
Control methods requires the removal of the plant and root system that consists of a short woody rhizome. The plantlets root up easily and establish in 1 year.
Botanic information
Leaf: The long linear dark green leaves have a smooth fleshy texture and are up to 20mm (3/4in) wide with parallel venation on the upper surface.
Flower: The small white stellate flowers have 3-petals and 3-sepals and 6-filaments with yellow anthers. They are arranged in a raceme that is up to 600mm (2ft) long and appear during summer. Small plantlets are produced on the arching stems and take root after touch the ground.
Fruit: It has small dry triangular capsule normally has 3-seeds that are very viable. It is dispersed by falling on to the ground or vegetatively spread. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
