Propagation
This plant is not normally cultivated for ornamental purposes in Australia.
Sow seed during spring in containers or in situ.
Take stem cuttings during summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are ovate when young becoming broad and forming 3 to 5 lobes when mature. They are up to 150mm (6in) wide and are covered in fine hairs. The apex is acuminate and the petiole is long.
Flower: The purple-blue funelform flowers mature to purple-red. There are 3 to 5 flowers arranged in axillary cyme that has a short peduncle and appear from spring to summer.
Fruit: The globular capsule has 4-valves each containing a single seed but is not normally produced in Australia. The plantcommonly reproduces by stolons.
