Propagation
Sow seeds when they are ripe in a well-drained media.

Take cuttings during the growing period (summer) and place on a misting bench.


Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are lanceolate to oblong with an acuminate apex and are short petiole.

Flower: The cyathiform flowers have tiny rounded petals and long protruding crimson stamens. They are arranged in a terminal cluster that is up to 100mm (4in) wide on pendant branches and are somewhat hidden by the foliage. They appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The ovate (egg-shaped) berry matures quickly during late summer and is normally a purplish colour. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
