Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and keep moist.
Take soft cuttings cuttings taken during summer and place in a protected environment.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leathery textured leaves are elliptical to lanceolate and the apex is acuminate.
Flower: The purplish salverform flowers have 5-expanded petals with wavy margins and up to 10 flowers are arranged in a terminal or axillary cyme that appears during spring.
Fruit: The small capsule contains numerous tiny seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
