Leaf: The funnelform flowers have 5-white narrow petals that turn pinkish and has only 1-stamen. They are arranged in a terminal raceme that opens consecutively from the base during late spring but the flowering period varies in tropical regions.

Fruit: The leathery brown legume is flat and contains hard coated seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
